Christmas Music You Can Actually Workout To

With the gyms STILL being closed where I live in California, I am seriously having withdrawals from group exercise classes. I kind of anticipated missing the social aspect but I also miss the fun and energetic atmosphere—especially the music. Instructors would put together great playlists with songs I’d never heard before along with ‘staple’ workout songs that would motivate me to take it up a notch.

In the spirit of keeping (individual) workouts enjoyable and challenging, I wanted to create a holiday playlist with energetic, upbeat songs to keep me going. In case you are also ‘on your own’ during this fitness season, feel free to check out some of my favorite songs and add them to your own list. Or you can listen to the 40-minute playlist on Amazon music or Spotify

  • Last Christmas - Wham!

  • I Want You for Christmas - Cheap Trick

  • All I Want for Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey

  • Jingle Bell Rock - Thousand Foot Krutch

  • Joy to the World - Pentatonix

  • Drummer Boy - Justin Bieber feat. Busta Rhymes

  • Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town - Jackson 5

  • Carol of the Bells - Capital Kings

  • Underneath the Tree - Kelly Clarkson

  • What Christmas Means to Me – John Legend feat. Stevie Wonder

  • O Holy Night - Hillsong (cool-down)

If you have any holiday music that you’d recommend for working out, please share in the comments!
